About

Notes penned in the manner of ideas for future use between January 1 and December 31, 2000, these notes capture the historical moment, the start of the new millennium seen entirely through the author’s own eyes.

Very personal matters are included such as the birth of his daughter, the changes his family life underwent in the subsequent months, memories of his own childhood in Dresden, his parents and grandparents, but also the changes in Berlin and the post-unification Germany, travel impressions, work on his poems and reflections on poetology.
