A consolidation of his theory of recognition.
The essays at hand address classical issues while at the same time shedding light on new fields for research. The backbone of all these articles is the wish to ensure the contemporary concept of justice benefits from ideas originally developed by Hegel. However, the author also aims to show that starting from a normative concept of recognition a link can be forged to themes in the social sciences, just as currently being attempted in a sociological diagnosis of the present day or psychoanalysis.
