Foreign Rights Information on Louis Begley’s oeuvre
Louis Begley and Suhrkamp have a long-standing and fruitful relationship that began with the friendship between the publisher Siegfried Unseld and his American author. This collaboration is now set to continue with Suhrkamp’s acquisition of the translation rights for a number of countries where it has hitherto not been possible for Louis Begley’s works to be published to the same extent as they have been in the USA, and in Germany, France, Brazil and other countries. We wish to ensure that Louis Begley’s works, which are not only of an exceedingly high literary standard but also of great humanitarian and political importance, should be available to readers in all languages.
