Sibylle Lewitscharoff & Judith Schalansky longlisted for German Book Prize 2011

We are proud to announce that the upcoming works Blumenberg by Sibylle Lewitscharoff and Der Hals der Giraffe by Judith Schalansky have been nominated for the Longlist of the German Book Prize 2011.
The nominees for the Shortlist will be announced on September 14.

Judith Schalansky, born in Greifswald in 1980, lives in Berlin where she works as a writer, editor and book designer. Her work has been translated into more than twenty languages and has won several prizes. Verzeichnis einiger Verluste received the Premio Strega Internazionale 2020 and was longlisted for the 2021 International Booker Prize and the Europese Literatuurprijs 2021.
 

Judith Schalansky, born in Greifswald in 1980, lives in Berlin where she works as a writer, editor and book designer. Her work has been translated...

Sibylle Lewitscharoff, born in Stuttgart in 1954 to a Bulgarian father and a German mother, read religious studies in Berlin, where she lived after staying in Buenos Aires and Paris for extended periods. She was awarded numerous prizes for her literary work. Lewitscharoff died on May 14, 2023 in Berlin.
