Philipp Weiss receives the 2018 Literary Prize of the Jürgen Ponto Foundation

This year the 15.000 Euro Jürgen Ponto Foundation’s Literary Prize for the Support of Young Artists goes to Philipp Weiss for his debut novel People Sit on the Edge of the World and Laugh.

The Jürgen Ponto Foundation awards its Literary Prize to young authors who are working on their first comprehensive book manuscript and who display particular literary talent.

In 2017, the Prize had been awared to Sasha Marianna Salzmann for her debut novel Beside Myself, translated into 14 languages.
