In the autumn of 1989, Luzy Morgenroth is living as a country police officer on the remote island of Amrum. Nobody around her senses that long ago, she was somebody else. When a local man vanishes without a trace one stormy night, she has to face off against a trained killer who had come to the island to carry out his mission. And she transforms back into the Luzy she once was. A human weapon.

In a spectacular spy thriller set near the end of the Cold War, as East Germany disintegrates and is united with the West, Andreas Pflüger sends his heroine halfway around the world.
