Author
Jutta Richter was born in 1955 and published her first book while she was still at school. She then went on to study theology, German studies, and journalism in Münster. Since 1978, she has been living in the region around Münster where she works as a freelance author. Her works have received multiple prizes, including the German Youth Literature Award in 2001 for Der Tag, als ich lernte, die Spinnen zu zähmen (The Day I Learned How To Domesticate Spiders, 2000), and the 2005 Catholic Children's and YA Book Prize for Hechtsommer (Pike Summer, 2004).
