The Corpses of Tomorrow

Berlin, today. A young man is lying dead under the Caprivi Bridge in Charlottenburg – head shot, no papers, no witnesses. Detective Nihal Khigarian has only just gotten back from Hamburg, bruised up emotionally, her father dying, her brother in prison – because she had put him there. And then Saad turns up again, with Leila in tow, the little girl she loves like a daughter – and whom she abandoned.

While Nihal tries to get her head together and focus on her job, she ends up in the middle of a gang war that is threatening to tear Berlin apart: an old king, a newcomer with no scruples, drugs, money – and Saad, who is suddenly part of the game. He might even be the key to it all.

When a second corpse shows up, Nihal realises how deeply she is caught up in the whole thing. And that her past is catching up to her faster than she can run away from it. Because sometimes it’s not yesterday’s corpses you have to be afraid of, but the corpses of tomorrow. And one of them could be Saad.
