Directed by Wim Wenders, the play was first performed during the Salzburg Festival in 1982, and Sigrid Löffler praised: »Here it is, the magnificent, ceremonial play elevated into the universal […] It’s Peter Handke’s unique art of revealing everyone’s experience in the mundane moments.«
