When the air conditioning stops working and the power goes out at her company, after which all the exits lock and smoke starts streaming out of the air vents, Emma is forced to watch on as her friend jumps out of the 15th-storey window of their luxury skyscraper. Shortly afterward, Emma is arrested, accused of having hacked the building management systems and orchestrated the whole disaster. Suddenly, Emma finds herself at the centre of an elaborate plot. When another attack is carried out of which she herself is the target, Emma decides to hit back. She follows a series of clues that lead her to Brixton Hill and to Allen, who has been stalking her for weeks now. But Emma quickly gets wind of a crime where huge amounts of money are at stake, and in which her own family might play a very unexpected role.
