The New Thriller from Sybille Ruge to Be Presented in Cannes

Sybille Ruge’s new novel 9mm Cut is the sole German entry chosen for this year’s “Shoot the Book!” event at the Cannes Film Festival, which presents books that are well-suited to film adaptations to international producers.
The novel focuses on the shady machinations surrounding an NGO in Zurich. Once again, Ruge has placed a hard-boiled anti-heroine at the centre of the plot, a private investigator going by the name of “Eve Klein”. Sibylle Ruge’s prize-winning first novel, DAVENPORT 160 x 90, is set to be made into an English-language film, with contract discussions nearing their conclusion.
An extensive film-adaptation dossier for 9mm Cut is available upon request. Please get in touch with Frank Kroll at frank@agenturkroll.com. Meanwhile, an English sample translation of the novel is available from the page for 9mm Cut.
