Beitrag zu Konstantin Richter Receives the German Economics Book Prize 2026
Konstantin Richter has been awarded the 2026 German Economics Book Prize for his book Three Hundred Men: The Rise and Fall of Corporate Germany.

The jury, made up of prominent figures from the world of business and academia, selected Three Hundred Men from a shortlist of ten titles as the year’s best book on the theme of economics and business. In its public remarks, the jury praised the work as “an excellently written book […], which addresses an immensely important topic in great detail without getting bogged down.” “Anyone working in the German economy would do well to read this book,” declared head judge Hans-Jürgen Jakobs in his speech.

The German Economics Book Prize is awarded by Handelsblatt, the Frankfurt Book Fair, Goldman Sachs, and—for the first time this year—R+V Versicherung. The prize is awarded to books that convey concepts and phenomena from the world of economics and business in a well-researched and accessible way, with a focus on their function in society. The prize is endowed with €10,000 and was awarded on 8 October 2026 at a public event during the Frankfurt Book Fair.
