Maria Stepanova Longlisted for the National Book Award for Translated Literature

Maria Stepanova's novella Disappearing Act has been longlisted for the prestigious National Book Award for Translated Literature, one of the most important prizes of its kind in the USA. The book was nominated in the English translation by Sasha Dugdale, which was published by New Directions in the US, and Fitzcarraldo in the UK. 

The National Book Award for Translated Literature, is one of five annual National Book Awards in the US, recognising outstanding literary works of translation into English and administered by the National Book Foundation.
