Beitrag zu Nora Bossong Talks about the Nature of Evil and Her Latest Book | Dichtung & Wahrheit #34
In the latest episode of the podcast Dichtung & Wahrheit, Silke Hohmann spoke to Nora Bossong about her oeuvre, her life as a writer, and about her current bestselling novel Reichskanzlerplatz. Bossong delves into her longstanding interest in the notion of evil – a major motivating factor in writing her latest work. The conversation focuses on the way Bossong works with historical material and with figures like Magda Goebbels, who is at the centre of her German Book Prize–nominated Reichskanzlerplatz. Bossong explores the psychology of people who commit acts of evil and discusses different ways of trying to explain their inhuman behaviour. A fascinating dialogue about literature and morality, about the entanglements between individual and society, about Catholicism and pole dancing.
