David Van Reybrouck

David Van Reybrouck, born in Bruges in 1971, is a writer, playwright, journalist, archaeologist and historian. In 2011, he founded the Initiative G1000, which advocates for democratic innovations in Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain. Congo: The Epic History of a People was published to great international acclaim and received numeorus awards and prizes. His book Against Elections: The Case for Democracy was met with great attention throughout Europe.
