Two Case Studies on the Topic of »Dealing with the Past« / Zwei Fälle zum Thema »Bewältigung der Vergangenheit«
With an afterword by Klaus Röckerath
In Berlin in the early 1960s, a young Jewish man and a young German man, both around 25 years old and with no prior connection to one another, begin to consult the same therapist: Anna Maria Jokl, who is working in West Berlin at the time. Yehuda and Volker both exhibit physical symptoms and are suffering from mental anguish. In crystal-clear prose, Anna Maria Jokl delivers a vivid analysis of how two young men, one Jewish and one German, have been fundamentally damaged by Nazi ideology.
