Angelika Overath, born in Karlsruhe in 1957, is an author and lecturer in creative writing. Among other prizes, she was awarded the Egon-Erwin-Kisch-Preis for Literary Reportage. Her most recent novel is entitled Ein Winter in Istanbul. She lives in Sent in the Engadin.
