Anthony Trollope

Anthony Trollope, born in London in 1815, was a civil servant and writer. He usually wrote in the early hours of the morning according to his self-imposed rule of writing a page in fifteen minutes; some of his 47 novels encompass close to 900 pages. The BBC adapted many of his works as radio plays and television programmes. Today, Trollope would probably write romantic comedy scripts. He died in 1882.
