Barbara Bronnen

Barbara Bronnen was born in Berlin in 1938. Her family left the bombed city in 1942, as her father had become a persona non grata in the national socialist state. She grew up in Bad Goisern and Linz and studied German philology and obtained a PhD in philosophy in Munich. She began working as a journalist and freelance writer in 1970. Barbara Bronnen died on August 8, 2019.
