Detlef Bluhm, born in Berlin in 1954, has worked in the book trade and publishing business for many years. He has been the CEO of the Berlin-Brandenburg division of the German Publishers and Booksellers Association (Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels) since 1992 and of the employers’ association of book stores and publishing houses since 1996. Bluhm has published about 20 books as editor or author since 1989.
