Ivan Nagel

Ivan Nagel, born in Budapest in 1931, was the director of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg from 1972 to 1979 and later director of the Staatstheater Stuttgart. His most recent position was that of professor of History and Aesthetics in the Performing Arts at the Berlin University of the Arts. Ivan Nagel died on April 9, 2012 in Berlin.
