Lisa Kränzler was born in Ravensburg in 1983 and studied painting and graphic arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe. In 2012 she won the 3sat-Prize at the Bachmann Competition for an excerpt from her novel Nachhinein. The novel was subsequently shortlisted for the 2013 Prize of the Leipzig Book Fair and was awarded the Märkisches Stipendium 2014. Lichtfang is her first novel with Suhrkamp Verlag.
