Rainer Herrn, born in 1957, is a medical historian specialising in the history of psychiatry as well as that of gender and sexual minorities. He has been working at the Centre for Research on the History of Sexual Science of the Magnus Hirschfeld Society since 1991 and at the Institute of History and Ethics at the Charité since 2008.
