Everyone Can Grieve / Jeder Mensch kann trauern
A book for anyone who has ever lost someone
Grief is not an illness. It's a strength.

Grief is not some defect. Some psychological short-circuit. Not some state that needs to be »overcome«. Grief is the logical, physical, and emotional response to love. Grieving does not mean you are weak. Grieving does not mean you’re not functioning properly. It’s the correct response.

This book offers a voice of dissent in a society that tries to speed up grief, to fix it with therapy, or put a stop to it all together. This book looks to stand by those who are affected by grief. Which is actually all of us. It is not a book of condolence, not some condescending self-help book by people who know better, but an empathetic and honest book about what it means to be human.

When we grieve, we show that we have loved – and that we can love again. Fee Vogel and Eric Wrede write clearly, directly, and uncompromisingly about what grief really is: not a crisis that needs to be solved – but a strength that can carry us forward.
